Lisa Pere

Dr. Shaula Alexander Yemini is an entrepreneur, angel investor, board member, and advisor to technology startups. As founder of software developer SMARTS, she was named 1 of 10 “Leaders Among Leaders” in Information Technology by Information Week Magazine and selected as an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Prior to founding SMARTS, Shaula was the Senior Manager for Distributed Systems Software Technology at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Center, where she received an IBM Outstanding Innovation Award for Optimistic Recovery for Fault Tolerant Distributed Systems. Earlier, she was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at NYU’s Courant Institute.

 

Shaula has a PhD in Computer Science from UCLA, an MSc in Applied Mathematics, and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
